Before the introduction of social media it was possible to finish a meal without taking a picture of it first. Does anyone remember that time? In the age of Instagram, the camera eats first.
If you’re like most people, then you don’t just choose a restaurant simply because you like the menu; you have to think about where will look best on the ‘gram. After all, if a restaurant isn’t Instagram-worthy is it really worth visiting at all?
We have rounded up the most photogenic dinner spots in Manchester that will make you want to book ASAP.
MANAHATTA DEANSGATE
Recently launched in Manchester, Manahatta is the perfect destination for cocktails in style! Spread across two floors, the chic space mixes original features including parquet floors and glazed tiling with modern touches such as street art murals, neon signs, colourful leather booths and plush velvet seating. Not to mention the giant swing.
You can even get that Insta shot in the ultra-glamourous toilets, with golden chandeliers, chaises lounges and the perfect lighting.
TATTU
Phones at the ready. Tattu’s dark wood walls, carved screens and intimate lighting make it the perfect setting for that pre-dinner photoshoot. A large pink tree at the centre makes the dining room picture-perfect.
Not only is this location ‘Instagramable’, the food is not to be missed – experience exquisite Chinese Food at this amazing location.
SUNSET BY AUSTRALISIA
This impressive cocktail bar in Spinningfields has fast become the new backdrop of choice for the ‘insta-famous’ thanks to the chic white and pink interior bar, and outside a floral and white seating area with heated lamps for those winter nights.
It’s not just the aesthetics that are Instagramable, the menu of signature cocktails, sushi and seafood is also easy on the eye and makes the perfect picture!
20 STORIES
Perched on the 19th floor of No.1 Spinningfield, 20 Stories is the highest restaurant in Manchester. It’s a must see for Instagrammers. We couldn’t not put this bar on the list. With panoramic views over the city this is a picturesque place to enjoy dinner and cocktails, perfect for a photo op, particularly at night when it feels some-what magical.
GRAND PACIFIC
This bar features an enormous oak staircase, sweeping up to the first floor hall where floor to ceiling windows provide the perfect picture looking out across King Street.
With cocktails being served in golden pineapples, it’d be rude not to get a snap for the ‘gram. The dining area is beautifully decorated with cream upholstery and the pineapple themed continued.
REFUGE
Located in one of Manchester’s most iconic buildings, the interior lives up to the exterior- big and bold but most definitely refined – it is simply breath-taking.
The roast dinner platter at Refuge deserves to be posted on your feed, and whilst your there head to the winter garden to enjoy a cocktail or two.
