Our Hove Central Discount Market Rent (DMR) homes offer the full Moda rental experience at a reduction to the full rent value. All DMR homes are furnished or unfurnished and offer the same level of style, quality, and service, along with our state-of-the-art amenities.
- Accessible homes
Moda, Hove Central offers a range of homes thoughtfully designed for wheelchair accessibility and adaptable to individual needs. Think adjustable worktops, slick adapted bathrooms, disabled parking and accessible routes throughout the neighbourhood so you can live your Moda life to the fullest.
- Am I eligible?
To qualify for a Discounted Rent home you must be an essential worker such as a teacher, NHS worker, work in public services, prison or environmental services or be a wheelchair user, and must have lived in the area for at least three years. Your application may also be considered if you're relocating to Brighton & Hove to work as an essential worker. Affordability criteria and maximum household income caps apply. Our Affordable Private Rental (APR) homes offer the full Moda rental experience at a reduction to the full rent value. All Affordable Rental homes are furnished or unfurnished and offer the same level of style, quality, and service, along with our state-of-the-art amenities.
- Am I eligible?
To qualify for an Affordable Private Rent Home at Makers Place, you must meet the following criteria:
You are aged 18 or over and have the right to live and work in the UK.
The property must be your sole or main residence.
You do not currently own a home (unless you’re unable to live in it for a valid reason).
Your gross annual household income is under £54,000.
You meet the affordability requirements for the monthly rent (this may include earnings, benefits, and state or private pensions).
All intended occupants must be included in your application.
Student loans, grants, and bursaries will not be considered part of your household income.
Guarantors are not accepted.
- What is Afforable Private Rent?
The Affordable Private Rent scheme, allows us to offer a selection of our high-quality homes at a reduced rent – making it more accessible to eligible residents. Homes provided on this scheme meet the same level of style, quality and service along with access to the neighbourhoods state-of-the-art amenities.
- What homes are available through Affordable Private Rent at Makers Place?
A selection of beautifully designed one and two-bed homes are offered at discounted rent for eligible applicants.
- Is there a minimum income required to rent an Affordable Private Rent home?
Yes, your households minimum annual income must be equal to at least 30x the monthly advertised rent.
- Can I choose to rent with someone else?
Yes. Joint applications are welcome. Your combined gross annual income must not exceed £54,000, and both applicants must meet all criteria.
- Can I bring my pet?
Yes, we’re proudly pet-friendly! We welcome well-behaved pets in our Private Rent homes, just like we do across all Moda neighbourhoods.

You are aged 18 or over and have the right to live and work in the UK.

You meet the affordability requirements for the monthly rent (this may include earnings, benefits, and state or private pensions).
