Manchester is crammed with cocktail bars, and most of them offer a cocktail list as long as your arm however, the huge range of cocktails on offer can often boggle the brain!
So below, we’ve rounded up our favourites five cocktails, from secret backstreet bars to stylish sky-high lounges!
20 STORIES
Earlier this year Manchester’s highest restaurant opened it’s doors offering impressive panoramic views of the city and an extensive cocktail menu.
Our favourite cocktail here had to be THE 20 Stories, rooting from Manchester’s Roman history, it centers on Tanqueray gin, Blanco Vermouth, their homemade honey & herbs cordial and grapes shaken with fresh lemon, finished with a red wine float -
THE ALCHEMIST
We couldn’t do a cocktail round up without including one of the most unique cocktails from the specialists at The Alchemist!
The cocktails here are slightly bizarre but delightful at the same time. Our favourite at this bar is the ‘Lightbulb Moment’ cocktail – a real show stopper as it steams and fizzes as you pour it into the glass, this one will definitely get heads turning!
It’s made up of Tanqueray Gin, Pimm’s, Ginger Beer, Raspberry, Lemon and Mint - £8.50
ALCEMIST
AUSTRALASIA
Australasia has a wealth of delicious cocktails which you can enjoy in the most fabulous settings, either in the underground restaurant or the upstairs terrace.
The Kiwi & Honey Crush got our vote at Australasia, made up of Ketel One vodka, lemon juice, kiwi syrup, honey and fresh kiwi - £9
DIRTY MARTINI
Dirty Martini is the latest edition to Peter Street’s party circuit, with the drinks menu featuring over 40 cocktails it was a tough decision.
Our favourite cocktail here had to be the Manchester, created especially for the city – a blend of Manchester Gin, Kalani coconut rum liqueur, coconut water, lemon juice, honey, bee pollen and dried lavender, garnished with a mini honeycomb stick - £10
DIRTY MARTIN
ALBERT SCHLOSS
Resembling a Bavarian beer hall, this bar has established itself as one of Manchester’s best party venues since opening in 2015 with wild entertainment at the weekend.
Our best loved cocktail here was the Watermelon Aperol Spritz, especially in the summer months – made up of, Aperol, Prosecco, Soda, Watermelon, and finally garnished with a wedge of fresh watermelon - £9
