Remember, remember the fifth of November – from spectacular firework displays to smaller bonfires.

Wondering what to do? Here’s your complete guide to where you need to go on Bonfire Night this year in Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds.

MANCHESTER

WEDNESDAY 31 October

Flickering bonfires and glittering fireworks will light up the sky at Manchester City’s Etihad stadium with a funfair for those thrill seekers. Gates will open at 5pm and fireworks will begin at 7:30pm.
MONDAY 5 November

Heaton Park is home to one of the biggest Bonfire Night displays in Manchester. In addition to an extravagant fireworks display and giant bonfire, there will be a funfair and host of tasty treats to keep the family entertained. Gates open at 5pm with the bonfire being lit at 7:30pm, followed by fireworks.

Platt Fields is another of Manchester’s major bonfire and firework displays - this free event is hugely popular with families and students all over the city. As well as a sizzling bonfire and fabulous fireworks, there’ll be a funfair and food stalls for the crowds to enjoy. Gates open at 5pm and will run until around 9:30pm.

LEEDS

**FRIDAY 2 November **

The Chemic Tavern is pulling out all the stops this year, kicking off at 7pm, serving hot dogs, run, brandy, hot chocolate and toffee apples. The fireworks begin around 9:30pm

SUNDAY 4 November

Make a day of it at Stockeld Park. Doors will be open from 10am where you can wander around and enjoy the incredible adventure park. The show will begin at around 5:30pm, complete with Guy Fawkes impersonators and fire breathers. Tickets are £7 each or £25 for a family of four.

MONDAY 5 November

Roundhay Park is the biggest bonfire in Leeds, lighting the sky up with an amazing firework display. Around 70,000 people turn up each year to see the bonfire lit at 7:30pm, with fireworks following at 8pm. There is a small children’s fun fair and lots of food & drinks venders to choose from.

Another of Leeds most famous Bonfire Nights is The Boundary House, bringing around 1,000 people through the door. Kicking off at 4:30pm, the bonfire will be lit at 6:30pm with a huge fireworks show following an hour later.

LIVERPOOL

FRIDAY 2 November

Head over to Dobbles Garden Centre to enjoy an evening indulging in tasty treats whilst watching a firework extravaganza with the family. Food will be served from around 5:30pm onwards with the fireworks starting at 7:30pm.

SUNDAY 4 November

Both sides of the River Mersey will be lit up by fireworks with a specially commissioned musical display in Liverpool and Wirral. Tens of thousands of people are expected to line the waterfront for the free spectacle, with fireworks being set off from the water’s edge and huge barges floating on the Mersey.

MONDAY 5 November

Fancy something different this year? Celebrate in style with a Rooftop Firework Display at HUS. There will be free entertainment for the kids including clowns, balloon modelling, face-painting, mini disco and much more. Tickets are £11 for children and £16.50 for adults.
