Moda dedicated a week to wellbeing for Manchester dwellers
We got the mind, body and soul feeling great over at Moda, Angels Gardens.
Whether you start every day with an 8am stretch or enjoy something a little more competitive to raise your pulse, Moda Angel Gardens is ready to help you focus on you.
The last week of May saw us opening the Moda, Angel Gardens doors, offering a multitude of health and wellbeing activities...
From rooftop yoga to football tournaments and lots in between. A green juice to start the day or unwinding at the end of a busy week with a drink and good music.
Whatever your vibe, we had it covered.
Kickabout with a view
We competed against our pals and neighbours in Manchester. Move over United and City.
This is the tournament for the big players in Manc.
Grabbing our kits and playing the knockout rounds at the beginning of the week. Ending with the finals of all finals on our 'Feel Good Friday' to end the awesomeness!
Throughout, we refuelled with Barebells, Nocco, Lo-Dough and Grey Skies Brew Co. You can't have a footie match without a 'team spirit' beer. It would have been rude not to cheers to Monday as the sunset.
We know how to look after you. *wink*
Yeah. Casual afterwork match. Resident five-a-side tournaments. A bit of training. Sunny Saturdays. Night-time game with the big city lights. Pretty epic to say meet you on the rooftop sports pitch, eh?
Are you down dog?
We turned the footie pitch into a yoga pitch...
Not one, not two, but three yoga sessions took place up on the rooftop. A 45-minute Vinyasa Flow with the yogi legend, Gavin from hero.
We stretched. We took in the view... lost ourselves in the clouds. Followed with a tasty breakfast pack to go from our friends The Green Lab. *drooling remembering the nutritious and delicious smoothie bowls*
Feelings: Relaxed. Re-energised. Restored.
Result: We seized the day.
Who's up for sunset yoga?
We got dance floor ready
A dance class with sass...
Dancing can improve our mental health as well as physical wellbeing. No other excuse needed…
For International Women's Day, we virtually danced off our inhibitions with L’Oréal Blackett. This time, we got the dance queen back IRL...
Grabbing our dancing shoes, aka trainers and meeting on the dance floor aka hero training club.
For the 'Dance Esteem' class, no dancing skills are required, just energy and good vibes. We smiled we popped and we dropped.
Feeling like we could take on the world afterwards...
That's not it...
Our Antipodean coffee and brunch neighbours, Pot Kettle Black, filled us to the brim with fresh bread and irresistible pastries.
They popped back up with more goods... homemade iced teas, with a side of gin if we fancied. Yummy sandwiches, sorry, demi baguettes...
Hummus, tahini, sundries tomatoes, cashew creams and leaf. Espresso marinated ham & mustard mayo and leaf. Vegan tuna mayo with onion, celery, lepers, capers and dressing. Nom Nom.
Shindigger beer and of course, cawfeeeeeeeee.
DJ spin that...
Our pal Jack, took to the decks and we definitely felt that Friday feeling. A feeling that we've missed.
What a way to wrap up our (awesome) Wellbeing Week, then start the bank holiday weekend.
Ended the week with a wellbeing glow. High on the good vibes...
Food. Cocktails. Beers. Music. Neighbours. Footie final. The sun even made an appearance!
Can we just do it all again...
