Try Padel
You may have read our feature in issue one of The NBHD all about the hottest sport of the year - Padel. It’s the perfect way to socialise without drinking and get fit at the same time. The doubles game is played on a court slightly smaller than that of a tennis court, with the main difference being that the court has walls and the ball can be bounced off them in a similar format to squash... basically it’s a fun cross between Tennis and Squash. We’re getting our practice in now ready for summer, when it will no doubt be taking over every city and rivalling beer gardens as a sunny social activity. Clubs in your city;
Enjoy a Concert by Candlelight
The Candlelight group know how to deliver a truly special experience. The concerts are set within some of Glasgow’s most stunning venues including the creative Òran Mór, onboard the mysterious Tall Ship, and at Georgian-style Trades Hall of Glasgow. The lineup for the next few months includes the likes of A Tribute to Taylor Swift, Hans Zimmer’s Best Works and A Tribute to ABBA.

Enjoy a spa day
Nestled right on the pebbles of Brighton Beach, Beach Box Spa is a unique sauna complex. With three saunas, each offering a distinct experience, including one which has been purpose-built with a window overlooking the waves. Guests can choose from either express 45 minute (from £12.50) or full 90 minute sessions (from £25). There’s also an array of treatments on offer, including face and hair masks, salt scrubs and aufguss balls (made of ice and essential oils which are added directly to the coals to offer a hit of steam and fragrance). Cool off throughout the session in the cold plunge pools or even, on a good day, a dip in the sea. This year-round venue is an oasis of calm, relaxation and wellness for city dwellers and visitors alike.
