Make the most of spring in Hove

15 / 04 / 2026

Longer evenings, sunnier mornings and that first proper hint of summer, spring is one of the best times to enjoy life by the coast, and Hove has plenty going on right now.

From new food spots to local markets and creative days out, there’s no shortage of ways to make the most of the season.
If you’re looking for somewhere new to book, Stem has recently opened on Church Road in Hove. The new British bistro and wine bar launched in February 2026 and brings seasonal cooking and a relaxed neighbourhood feel to one of Hove’s best-known stretches for food and drink.

For a slower spring weekend, The Sussex Peasant Spring Markets are returning to Hove Town Hall on 23 April 2026, bringing together local farmers, food producers and seasonal produce from across Sussex. It’s an easy one for a morning wander, a coffee, and a few good things to take home.

There’s plenty for culture lovers too. At Hove Museum of Creativity, Play Back Forward explores the legacy of Brighton and Hove’s early film pioneers through archival film, immersive artworks and interactive displays, with dates listed from 16 April 2026 onwards.

And with Artists Open Houses returning in May 2026, spring is also the perfect time to explore more of Brighton and Hove’s creative side. The festival’s May brochure is due out towards the end of April, with open houses and listings spread across the city.
